One of the biggest advantages the digital age has given us is the ability to capture photos practically anywhere, anytime. Cameras are everywhere, and while my preferred tool is a Nikon DSLR, I also have some very nice point-and-shoot type cameras that often accompany me when I travel on business.  Of course, there’s also decent imaging to be found in many smart phones or tablets, too.

Because cameras are everywhere now, taking a picture is no big deal.  Properly composing a photo so that it’s something that I want to share is something else.  Finding angles with uncluttered backgrounds, or views of a subject without people standing around can be a real challenge.  When I’ve been to car shows I’ve stood patiently waiting for a subject to clear of people, ready and prepared, having everything on the camera set and composed so that the image can be captured quickly.  There’s always the ‘Murphy’s Law’ of photography – a subject that nobody cares about will suddenly become as popular as the Mona Lisa the moment you decide to point a camera at it!

Each of the galleries here represent a group of photos taken at a specific location.  They’re the ones that I like, that I think are composed well and are worth sharing.  I’m not an expert at judging photos, and everyone has their own opinion – no doubt there will be some here that will not appeal to everyone – and that’s fine.
